يا مُغيثَ التائهينْ*
يا مَلاذَ الخائفينْ*

(( I besiege you: ))
The guide of those who are lost
The ****ter of those who are frightened

يا راحِماً عَـبْرَةَ العُيونْ*
في وجوهِ الضَّارِعينْ*

The Merciful of the tearful eyes
On the supplicatory faces

أَجِرْ عُـبَـيْداً تَائِهاً
مِنْ ظُـلَـيْماتِ السِّنينْ
لاذَ بِبابِكَ مُسـْتَشْفِعاً
بِـإِخلاصِ المؤمنينْ*

****ter a lost servant
From the darkness (the sins) of the years
Took refuge at your door seeking your intercession
With a sincerity of the believers.

ليس يَمْـلُك غَـيْرَ الآهْ*
مِنْ قَـلْبٍ نَدِمٍ حزينْ*

He has nothing but a groan
From a sad regretful heart

إلهي حِلْمُكَ بَسَطَ أَمَلي*
بِعَفْوِكَ عَنْ سُوءِ عملي*

My Lord, Your kindness gave me (an extra) hope
That you would forgive my bad deeds

وا حَيائي مِنْكَ وخجلي*
إِذْ سـَلَوْتُ عَـنْكَ بِقَدَرِي*

Oh, how shy and ashamed I am
For I intentionally got distracted from you

لِعَـلْياكَ فَوَّضْتُ أَمْري*
وأنتَ ارحمُ الراحمينْ

To Your Highness (High Grace) I entrusted my affairs
And you are the most Merciful amongst the merciful
