The Blue Hole is an underwater sinkhole (or vertical cave) and is so named because of the beautiful and dramatic contrast between the dark blue, deep waters of their depths and the lighter blue of the shallows around them. Even though no life (besides bacteria) thrives in the blue hole, divers will still find this sight magnificent.
